Most coaching starts with a promise. Mine starts with a reality check. I work with founder-CEOs whose businesses are growing but feel harder to run every quarter. Revenue is up, headcount is up, complexity is up, and decision quality starts slipping. That is the danger zone.

I have lived it. I helped scale two tech businesses to £30m and was part of a team that grew one to a $635m exit. I have made the same mistakes most leaders make under pressure: confusing momentum with strategy, busyness with progress, and output with outcomes.

My coaching is practical and operational. We use Scaling Up and Rockefeller Habits to build a repeatable way to run the company so growth is not dependent on heroics.

Personal Highlights
I live in the New Forest, England, with my wife Geri, our daughters, and a noisy collection of animals on our farm. That farm is also home to The Management Lab.

I built The Management Lab for one reason: leaders think better when they step out of operational noise. Away from inboxes and day-to-day firefighting, leadership teams can slow down enough to make better strategic decisions.

I call this strategic archaeology. We dig into what is really driving growth, what is accidental, and what is sustainable. Then we build the systems needed for the next stage. The goal is not just faster growth.
