With a profound knowledge of the Cash Flow Story software, Jonathan is an international business coach and speaker recognized for educating companies on creating strategy from financials and merging it into the Scaling Up framework. He is also the official Scaling Up Cash Champion, responsible for training his fellow Scaling Up coaches in best practices with Cash Flow Story

 Jonathan’s core focus as a facilitator and mentor is driving valuation by helping companies break through their barriers to growth as well as finding their hidden cash. Having over 15 years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Jonathan also sits on over 12 advisory boards.

Professional Highlights
After completing a bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting & Information Systems, Jonathan started his career in the retail fashion sector. There, he built a successful clothing label from the ground up that formed a retail chain with sales of $11 million, by the time he sold the company in 2012.

This experience ignited Jonathan’s inquisitive mind, and he became determined to help other like-minded business owners discover the missed growth potential within their organizations.

Jonathan consulted as a CFO in various industries, including construction, marketing, sports management, retail, and fashion. He identified company issues by analyzing their finances and business processes; (something that came naturally to him after years of sleepless nights running his own company).

Wanting to take the next step in guiding these companies on a path to success, Jonathan completed his M.B.A., and joined Scaling Up.

Jonathan starts each client engagement, quarterly and annual workshop with a financial excellence review, company health check, and valuation updates. From there, he coaches companies about the strategies required to challenge beliefs, enact change, and achieve quarterly and long-term strategic directions.

Personal Highlights
As a dedicated husband and father, Jonathan is incredibly proud of the achievements of his family. He is passionate about creating a supportive environment for his three children, two of whom are currently studying at university, while his youngest is completing his university pre-admission studies. 

When it comes time to wind down, Jonathan enjoys traveling, music, movies of decades gone by, exercising, live sports and time sharing good food and a nice red with family and friends.
