About
Andrew Hodges is a certified Scaling Up Coach, Growth Partner and Harrison Solutions Partner with more than twenty five years of commercial, operational and leadership experience. He works with CEOs and leadership teams to bring clarity to strategy, strengthen execution and help organisations scale with confidence. Andrew’s style is direct, practical and focused on results that actually matter.
Throughout his career, Andrew has taken on challenges that required building something new, fixing what wasn’t working or pushing a business to the next level. At Origin Energy he built the industrial and commercial electricity market from scratch, led the major accounts team and secured the first state government electricity contract of its kind, a forty million dollar deal. At Santos he negotiated the company’s first major third party gas agreement in decades worth more than one hundred million. At Ingenia he led a major turnaround, growing revenue from five hundred and fifty thousand to two point five million in fourteen months while expanding staff from five to twenty and earning a Fast Movers SA Award for growth.
He later founded a home care business, rebuilt it after a closure period and grew it from zero to a multi million operation with sixty five staff, achieved ISO accreditation in the first fourteen months and gained industry recognition in the first year. The business was successfully exited.
For nearly fifteen years Andrew has run Hodges Advisory Services, delivering more than eight thousand hours of coaching and advisory support. He brings a strong commercial lens, deep leadership experience and a practical approach to strategy and execution. As a Harrison Solutions Partner he also leads a small network of consultants, supporting organisations with recruitment, succession planning and leadership development through data driven behavioural insights.
Andrew believes in continuous learning, adaptability and helping leaders navigate change with clarity and confidence. His work is grounded in real experience leading teams, solving problems and delivering commercial outcomes.
He holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Business from the University of South Australia.

“Without realising, and as we go through life, through the effects of being attracted to people that think like us and confirmation bias, we harden our views and narrow the gap between right and wrong and between black and white. We see the world only through our lens – the lens that has been moulded because of our background, our upbringing, our inborn prejudices. And because of the narrowing of the grey between black and white, we start to assume that everyone sees the world through the same lenses. Our point of view is the only point of view. Our right is the only right. Of course, this is just not true, but when we believe that it is, we become sub optimised leaders, sub optimised team mates, sub optimised parents, sub optimised siblings…and the list goes on. It was not until I took on a leadership coach, could I see this so clearly. Could I see the harm that I had inadvertently caused to my company, to my team mates, to my direct reports, to my friendships and to my relationships within my family. It was a life changing moment for me. It was so profound, that it was something that I wanted to offer not just to my senior leadership team but to also all people within the organisation that had potential to be senior leaders. It was my luck to have found Andrew Hodges. He has coached and continues to coach and mentor several of our leaders and potential leaders, and has done so for more than 7 years now. He is astute – he quickly gets an innate sense of what help his mentee needs. He is patient – he coaches, he does not lecture or teach. He is generous – his mentees can reach him anytime, not just their designated coaching session. He is business savvy – he understands the business needs and why these may be getting blocked. He is a confidante to his mentee – even though he shares the mentee’s progress with the mentee’s direct line manager, he does this without revealing anything confidential. He is driven by results and ensuring that he delivers value for money – on every occasion that his mentee has “graduated” – he has let the business know, And before anyone congratulates me for my altruism, let me remind them that my coached team has had significant improvements in performance within the team and with all Simba customers and Simba suppliers. That they also lead richer and more fulfilling lives outside of Simba is the icing on the coaching cake.”
