About
Real growth doesn't come from speed. It comes from the architecture that lets a business scale without breaking under its own weight.
Ashutosh Sharma has spent over thirty years building and operating within that architecture. Global advertising at Ogilvy and Euro RSCG. Gaming at Level Up Networks. Media and publishing at Times Internet and MidDay. SaaS at NowFloats. His own digital agency. A family-owned engineering business modernised from the inside. He now coaches founders and CEOs of growth-stage Indian enterprises—particularly family-owned businesses navigating succession and second-generation leadership, and established SMEs ready to scale with discipline. His client and market exposure spans India, the Middle East, and Asia.
Professional Highlights
Ashutosh launched Duracell in India at Ogilvy, alongside brand campaigns for Seagram's Royal Stag and Imperial Blue, and Reckitt Benckiser's Mortein. At Euro RSCG, he was part of the three-person team that won the entire Microsoft India business after an eight-hour pitch presentation. He was then seconded from Cheil Communications to Samsung, where he led marketing communication for the launch of Samsung's CDMA mobile business in India.
He launched India's first massively multiplayer online role-playing game at Level Up Networks, building gaming communities before social media existed and signing alliances with Reliance Web World, Indiatimes, and Intel. He led the digital transition at MidDay Multimedia and Images Multimedia, publishers of India Retail Forum. At Times Internet, he served as Head of Marketing for Indiatimes and Business Head for TimesCity.
He then led Enmax Systemz, a family-owned engineering equipment business representing Grundfos, Solahart, Olympia, and Delonghi, modernising operations through technology and digital transformation while growing profitability. He founded Bait Content & Digital Solutions, winning the India and Gulf business of Monster Jobs, alongside HealthifyMe and brands across education and healthcare. Most recently, as CMO of Reliance-backed NowFloats, he rebuilt brand architecture for regional markets, designed the customer acquisition funnel, and architected the self-serve growth model that brought small businesses across India online.
What thirty years taught him.
Three convictions run through every chapter of Ashutosh's career, and they sit at the heart of how he coaches. Discipline: trust is earned through depth, not pitched through cleverness. The businesses that endure are the ones willing to do the deeper work of understanding before they act. Architecture: it is the structure you build underneath a business, not the speed of its growth, that determines whether it lasts. Execution: strategy is the easy part. Aligned people, disciplined processes, and clear financial visibility are what separate companies that scale from companies that stall. These are the same convictions Scaling Up methodology makes founders confront.
Personal Highlights
Ashutosh has been an entrepreneur from a very young age. He sold quiz books door-to-door as a schoolboy, worked the field for ITC's Classic launch in Class 12, and was a part-time sales representative at Modi Xerox during his B.Sc. in Computer Science at Pune. By the time he formally entered the marketing profession, with a PGDMM from The Times School of Marketing, he had already been trained on the ground by an IIT professor, a major FMCG launch, and a global technology brand. That early grounding in direct selling, combined with a technologist's mind, has shaped his approach ever since. His coaching style is direct, analytical, and free of platitudes. He is known for asking the questions that unlock alignment in leadership teams.
Personal Note from Ashutosh Sharma
"I have not just read about scaling. I founded a company, scaled teams, rebuilt brands, and modernised a family-owned business from the inside. I have sat where you are sitting—wondering why growth isn't translating to profit, why the team isn't aligned, or why it feels like you are the only one who can see the whole picture. If your growth has stalled, or your foundations aren't keeping pace with how fast you are scaling, that is exactly where I work. I don't offer motivational speeches or cookie-cutter frameworks. I offer rigorous diagnosis, evidence-based strategy, and accountability. Let us figure out together whether we are a fit."
