In a world where chaos often gets mistaken for growth, I’ve spent the last 20+ years helping businesses find their true north — preferably without losing their minds (or margins) along the way. I am a strategist by instinct, coach by choice, and catalyst by design. My journey has taken me across emerging markets, from sharp-suited boardrooms to scrappy startups that ran more on belief than budgets.

Now a certified Scaling Up coach, I work with founders and leadership teams who don’t just dream big — they actually want to do the hard work to get there. I bring structure where there’s noise, clarity where there’s confusion, and a slightly annoying obsession with execution. My toolkit: systems thinking, discipline, and an unwavering belief that good people with a clear plan can do extraordinary things.

My journey has taken be across global consumer brands, market battles (some we won, some taught better lessons), and enough missteps to keep me humble. But at the heart of it all, one thing remains constant — my belief that behind every business worth building is a team waiting to be unlocked.

Professional Highlights
As a certified Scaling Up Coach, I help businesses implement the Four Decisions framework — a practical blueprint that turns scattered ambition into focused, strategic growth. I don’t just drop in with slides and frameworks; I roll up my sleeves, sit alongside founders and leadership teams, and help them scale with clarity, purpose, and discipline.

I spent over a decade on the frontlines in Africa, leading operations and expansion for Godrej Consumer Products. One of the most fulfilling parts? Building Darling Hair into a market leader across East Africa — not just growing a brand, but building a category from the ground up. I also had stints with Marico, Oberoi and Mount Meru — each role adding its own flavour to my understanding of business across geographies, cultures, and customer contexts.

My story started in the spreadsheets and audit rooms — I’m a Chartered Accountant with an All India Rank 29, and later added an MBA from ISB to round out the numbers with strategy. If finance gave me discipline, ISB gave me perspective. Somewhere along the way, I learned that systems build scale, but people drive it.

Today, I sit on the board of TechLit Africa, where we’re making digital literacy accessible in underserved communities — one school, one child at a time. And as co-founder of Kumba AI, I’m now helping build smart marketing tools for SMEs — because small businesses deserve big advantages too.

At heart, I’m a mentor — and a seeker of growth. Whether I’m tutoring IB Business Management or backing bold ideas as an angel investor in East Africa and India, I’m all about making an impact.

I spent a decade in Africa, and captured that journey in Africa Diaries — a 10-part LinkedIn series that’s part business, part travel, and all real talk.

I’m a lifelong student, devouring business books like they’re going out of style. My favourite? The Ride of a Lifetime. It’s marked up, dog-eared, and constantly reminding me that leadership is about vision and vulnerability.

I don’t do “well-trodden paths.” Whether it’s climbing Mount Kenya or trekking through deserts, I’m all about the journey (and the stories that come with it).

Now based in Dubai with my wife, a teacher, and our curious son. In a world that moves at lightning speed, I choose to slow down and balance the business grind with meaning, ambition with humility, and growth with grace.
