Meet JM, a seasoned entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience under his belt. His wealth of knowledge and expertise allows him to provide invaluable insights into the scale-ups he works with. He's the man behind Meraki Management SARL, an advisory and coaching company that works with scaleup.de, the leading European network and community for scale-up coaches. He's also a board director for the National Research Fund of Luxembourg and various DWS fund structures focusing on infrastructure investments across Europe. JM has a wealth of experience in leadership roles and a track record of success to match. He's been CEO, Managing Director, and COO in the past for start-ups, scale-ups and larger corporate entities. He's also got experience in corporate development, having worked on several M&A projects. JM holds a PhD in Economics and a Master in Science /Business Administration. He's also been to Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program and is a certified Director from INSEAD. JM has played a significant role in the European payment ecosystem via SEPA and various other tech implementations, resulting in 10xing the company and selling it to Six Payment Services-Worldline. In addition, he's passionate about coaching EU scale-ups and promoting the importance of scale-ups in the French-speaking regions. JM speaks French, English and German fluently and lives with his wife and two sons in Luxembourg.

JM is a seasoned entrepreneur with a wealth of experience across all stages of company development. He has a proven track record in start-ups, having played a crucial role in the creation and launch of the ETH Lausanne Science Park, which attracted in its first year an impressive 20 companies and start-ups to the campus for deep exchange and collaboration on cutting-edge high-tech innovation. JM has also honed his skills in restructuring and reorganization in the global airline sector. He then made a successful transition to fintech and payments, taking over a payment company as CEO and leading the team to increase activity nearly 10-fold, as well as founding a second company in the financial information space. The entry of Europe's largest payment processor into the share capital allowed the company to pursue its growth path, while JM took over the role of MD at its headquarters. Following the complete takeover, JM pivoted to focus on coaching similar growth companies as a partner of scaleup.de, sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience to help other companies achieve success.
Personal Highlights
As a true Luxembourger, JM is fluent in not just French, English, and German, but also the challenging Luxembourgish language. He resides in Luxembourg with his wife and two sons, but his love for travel and exploration often takes him to distant lands in search of new experiences and perspectives. When he's not busy coaching or exploring the world, he can be found indulging in his favorite pastimes such as reading, trying different cuisines, and listening to progressive rock music.
