Laura Pichan is a certified Scaling Up Coach and founder of Avanti Scaling, a practice dedicated to empowering visionary leaders to scale their businesses with confidence and clarity. With a unique perspective shaped by hands-on experience at every level of the Scaling Up journey, Laura has worked at a company that utilized Scaling Up practices, successfully implemented these methodologies in another organization, and collaborated closely with a Scaling Up coach before becoming a certified coach herself.

Diverse Professional Experience:
Laura’s career began in public accounting and audit, performing financial statement reporting and audit engagements for clients in government contracting, not-for-profit, private companies, and employee benefit plans.

She then transitioned into management consulting. A significant portion of her consulting experience has been in support of the Federal government and the Department of Defense (DoD), where she focused on financial improvement, audit readiness, strategy, change management, employee engagement, and program management.

Laura also served as the Senior Vice President of Firm Operations for a boutique consulting firm, where she was responsible for leading the organization’s operational activities, developing and implementing strategies to enhance performance, and driving operational excellence across finance, HR, and corporate governance. She oversaw and optimized the firm’s operations infrastructure, leading to the firm winning the 2022 Arlington, VA REV Award for fastest-growing start-up with 750% growth over 3 years.

Most recently, she has focused on simplifying the integration of AI into businesses and optimizing operations.

Laura holds certifications in ProSci Change Management and HCI Human Capital Strategist, further enhancing her ability to lead transformational growth in organizations.

Personal Highlights
Laura cherishes spending time with her husband, two young daughters, and their dog, making family her top priority. She is an avid beach lover and can often be found exploring new restaurants and cocktails. Laura also has a passion for sports, live music, and stays connected to her roots as a loyal fan of Buffalo sports teams and local foods.
